THE GUESTS, THE GALA EVENING AND THE AWARD WINNERS

For the two special events out of competition Tapirulàn and Lasciarsi un giorno a Roma the following will be present at the Kermesse: Claudia Gerini and Edoardo Leo, for the cast of the film Una boccata d’aria Aldo Baglio, Lucia Ocone, Ludovica Martino and the director Alessio Lauria.

The 19th edition of the MonteCarlo Film Festival de la Comédie, the event conceived and chaired by Ezio Greggio, is underway and will take place from 25 to 30 April in the Principality of Monaco.

The MonteCarlo Film Festival, one of the most important festivals dedicated to comedy, will take place entirely in the prestigious Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo this year, where screenings and meetings with the most beloved protagonists of international, Italian and French cinema will alternate in the various rooms, culminating with the usual Gala evening and awards ceremony on Saturday 30 April.

The films in and out of competition this year will offer interesting food for thought for the President of the Jury, two-time Oscar winner Paul Haggis (Best Screenplay and Best Film for “Crash”) and the jurors - Tom Leeb (“L'amour Presque Parfait”, “The Spoiled”, “Papillon”, “Sous le soleil de Saint-Tropez”), Clara Ponsot (“Cross and Delight”, “Cosimo and Nicole”, “The Unfaithful”, “Bye Bye Blondie”) and, last but not least, Pierpaolo Spollon, the eclectic Italian actor known to the general public for “The Pupil”, “Doc in His Hands” and “Blanca”.

For the two special events out of competition Tapirulàn and Lasciarsi un giorno a Roma the following will be present at the Kermesse: Claudia Gerini and Edoardo Leo, for the cast of the film Una boccata d'aria Aldo Baglio, Lucia Ocone, Ludovica Martino and the director Alessio Lauria.

Furthermore, the Festival will conclude on the Gala evening of Saturday 30 April where, Ezio Greggio, supported in the conduction by Cristina Marino (Il talento del Calabrone, Vacanze ai Caraibi), together with numerous guests from the cinema and TV, will award this year's candidates. Special guest of the Festival, the iconic actress Stefania Sandrelli (Divorce Italian Style, We All Loved Each Other So Much, Prosciutto, prosciutto) who will receive the Movie Legend Award and the charming actor Luca Argentero (Doc-nelle tue mani, Le fate Ignoranti -la serie, Come un gatto in tangenziale- ritorno a Coccia de Morto) who will be awarded for his career. The talented actress known thanks to the famous series Skam, Ludovica Martino and the idol of young girls Lorenzo Zurzolo (Baby, Summertime, Eo) will receive the Special Prize Next Generation Award for best actor under 30. Special Prize, Monte Carlo Film Festival-Next Generation Comedy Award, also for Giancarlo Commare (Skam, Ancora più bello, Sempre più bello, Maschile Singolare) for his performance in Ancora più bello. The jury will be presided over by Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby) who will receive the prestigious Movie Legend Award. Among the personalities who will attend the evening, the showman Piero Chiambretti, the famous journalist Cesara Buonamici, the historic Juventus footballer Andrea Barzagli.
